- The Name of the Church Shall be: REDKEY FAITH MINISTRIES.
The Purpose of the Church shall be:
- To worship God and to glorify Him on the earth (Ephesians 1:4-6).
- To preach and teach the Word of God as the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ unto salvation (Matthew 28:19-20; Ephesians 3:8).
- To evangelize the world with the Gospel (Acts 5:42, 6:5-8, 15:7.
- To develop each individual Christian until he attains unto the fullness of the stature of Christ (1 Corinthians 12; Ephesians. 4:11-16; 1 Thessalonians 5:10; Hebrews 10:24-25).
- To be a constant witness for Christ and His Word (Acts 1:8, 8:1-4).
-
- The Covenant of Conduct of the Church shall be:
The fundamental principles of this church are based upon the Word of God. Therefore, every member of the church is expected to live according to its teachings and avoid and refrain from that which is destructive of the Christian life and dishonoring to God.
- Every Member is Earnestly Admonished to:
refrain from slander and evil speaking of one another
to pray constantly for the church, its members and its ministry
to support materially the church according to the ability and necessity
to attend the services as far as possible
to live a holy and godly life in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation.
ARTICLES OF FAITH:
THE SCRIPTURES
- We believe:
the Scriptures, both Old and New, are the Word of God
that they are inerrant in the original writings
that they are of supreme and final authority in faith and practice (Luke 24:44; 2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20, 3:16).
THE GODHEAD
- We believe:
that the Godhead eternally exist in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit
that these three are One God deserving precisely the same homage, confidence and obedience, each one executing distinct but harmonious offices in the great work of redemption (Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 3:16; 28:18-20; Mark 12:29; John 1:14; Acts 5:3-4; Titus 3:3-7; Hebrews 1:1-3; 1 Peter 1:2-3; Revelation 1:4-6).
SATAN
- We believe:
that Satan is an actual person, once enjoyed heavenly privileges, but due to pride, ambition and self-will attempted to betray the Almighty and brought upon his head the Judgment of God (Job 1:6-12; Isaiah 14:12-20; Ezekiel 28:12-19)
that he operates today as prince of power of the air (Matthew 24:11; Ephesians 2:2)
that he is the diabolical deceiver, and the father of all lies (Genesis. 3:1-6; John 8:44; I Peter 5:8)
that he is the relentless accuser of the saints (Revelation 12:10)
that his eternity is sealed. He shall be cast into the Lake of Fire prepared for the devil and his angels at the final judgment of God (Revelation 19:20, 20:10).
CREATION
- We believe:
that God personally created the heavens and earth (Genesis. 1:1; John 1:1-3)
that man was originally created in the image and after the likeness of God
that he disobeyed God, bringing sin (total depravity) and condemnation upon the whole human race (Genesis 1:26, 3:17)
that every child of Adam is born into the world with a nature which not only possesses no spark of divine life, but essentially and unchangeably is evil apart from divine grace (Psalms 14:1-3, 51:5; Jeremiah 17:19; Mark 7:20-23; Romans 1:24-32; 3:10-19, 5:12; Ephesians 2:1-30).
THE PERSON AND WORK OF CHRIST
- We believe:
that Jesus Christ was begotten by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, is true God and true man (John 20:28)
in the sacrificial and atoning death of Christ through His shed blood upon the cross (Job 19:25; Isaiah 53; Matthew 28; Luke 24)
in His bodily resurrection and ascension to heaven where He sits as the mediator between God and man today (Acts 1:10, 2:32-36; Hebrews 1:1-3; 1 John 2:1-2)
in His literal future return to earth as the greater son of David who shall sit upon David’s throne and establish an everlasting Kingdom (1 Samuel 7:16; Daniel 7:27, Isaiah 9:6-7; Ezekiel 37:24-25; Revelation 19:16).
THE PERSON AND WORK OF THE HOLY SPIRIT
- We believe:
that the sanctifying work of the Holy Spirit is accomplished at salvation and His work continues throughout the life of the believer
that He not only sets believers apart for service, but empowers them for service (Ephesians 1:13-14; John 17:16-19).
SALVATION
- We believe:
since all men are sinners and guilty before God and are dead in trespasses and sin and therefore are unable to save themselves, God has, out of His infinite love, given His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, to become man’s Savior (Matthew 1:21; John 3:14-17, 16:44; Romans 3:10-12, 19- 20, 23; Ephesians 2:1-3, 8-9)
We believe in eternal salvation of the believer (John 10:26-29; Ephesians 1:13-14).
REPENTANCE
- We believe:
that genuine repentance is a necessary attitude and act of man that makes it possible for a holy and just god to forgive man’s sins
as an attitude it involves a knowledge of, a change of mind toward, and a godly sorrow for sin; a proper reverence for God’s holiness; and a surrender to God
as an act it means confessing and forsaking sin
repentance is man’s appropriate response to the grace of God in conviction.
as a fruit of repentance, insofar as possible, where sin has been committed against man, restitution should be made (Psalms 51:3-4; Proverbs28:13; Isaiah 6:1-5, 55:6-7; Matthew 3:2, 8, 4:17; Luke 13:3, 15:18, 18:13, 19:8; John 16:8-11; Acts 11:18; Romans 2:4, 10:9-10; 2 Corinthians 7:9-10; 2 Timothy 2:25).
FAITH
- We believe:
faith must accompany repentance and is the act of the will whereby man embraces the promises of God and appropriates to himself personally the provisions of God’s grace.
it is resting in the completeness and adequacy of the atoning merit of Christ’s sacrifice as the sole ground and hope of salvation.
faith must be active throughout the life of the believer and must manifest itself in obedience and good works (Acts 13:38-39, 16:31; Romans 4:3, 5:1; Ephesians 2:8-10; Hebrews 11:6; James 2:17).
JUSTIFICATION AND REGENERATION
- We believe
when requirements of repentance and faith have been met, God justifies and regenerates the sinner.
justification is a judicial act absolving from guilt and punishment and restoring to divine favor.
justification has to do with the changing of the sinner’s standing before God.
regeneration is a spiritual quickening; a new birth. This experience is witnessed to by the indwelling Holy Spirit who produces in the heart a desire to do the will of God (John 3:3, 5, 5:24; Acts 22:10; Romans 5:1, 9, 4:4-5, 8:16, 33; 2 Corinthians 5:17; Ephesians 2:1; 2 Peter 1:4).
SANCTIFICATION
- We believe:
sanctification is the work of the Holy Spirit and is accomplished at salvation
this work of the Holy Spirit continues throughout the life of the believer as we grow in grace and the knowledge of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ (John 10:26-29; Ephesians 1:13-14).
RESURRECTION AND GLORIFICATION
- We believe:
in the bodily resurrection of Christ, and that because He lives we too shall live.
the Scriptures teach that at the return of the Lord, the bodies of the righteous dead will be raised and the living believers with them shall be caught up to meet the Lord in the air and will be changed so that both will have literal, spiritual, and immortal bodies like unto Christ’s own glorious body.
our glorification is God’s final act in our salvation and will be realized when we see Him as He is (1 Corinthians 15:3-8, 19-23; Philippians 3:20-21; 1 Thessalonians 4:14-17; 1 John 3:2).
THE CHURCH
- We believe:
the invisible and universal church is an organism composed of all believers in the Lord Jesus who have been called out from the world, separated from sin and virtually united by faith to Christ, its living Head and sovereign Lord (1 Corinthians 12:12-27; Ephesians 1:22-23, 4:15-16; Colossians 1:18; Hebrews 12:23)
the visible and local church is an organized body of believers in Christ who are voluntarily joined together, and who meet at regular times for teaching in the Word, fellowship of the saints, observance of ordinances, administration of discipline, exercise in prayer, and participation in public worship and evangelism (Matthew 18:15-17; Acts 2:42, 46- 47, 20:7; 1 Corinthians 5:1-4, 16:2)
the characteristic marks of the members of the true church are faith in Jesus as the Son of God, love God and for those of like faith, obedience to God’s commandments and victory over the world (John 13:35; 1 John 3:14, 4:2, 5:1-5)
the primary duties of the church consist of glorifying God and exalting the Lord Jesus Christ, of building itself up in the most holy faith, and preaching the Gospel in all the world as a witness to all men (Matthew 28:18-20; Acts 1:8, 20:32; Ephesians 1:5-6, 3:21, 4:11-16; 1 Peter 4:11; Jude 20-21).
CHURCH ORDINANCES
Redkey Faith Ministries practices the following ordinances in obedience to Christ’s teachings. Although not essential to salvation, we believe regarding:
- BAPTISM:
that Christian baptism is by immersion in water, in the name of the Father, and Son, and Holy Spirit, to show forth, in a solemn and beautiful emblem, our faith in the crucified, buried and risen Savior and that baptism is a symbol of our death to sin and resurrection to a new life (Matthew 28:29; Acts 8:36-39; Romans 6:4).
- COMMUNION:
The Lord’s Supper is a memorial by which we commemorate together the sacrificial love of Christ until He returns, and should be preceded always by solemn self-examination (Acts 2:41-42; 1 Corinthians 11:23-26).
FINAL THINGS
THE RETURN OF CHRIST
- We believe:
the second advent of Christ is the hope of the church and will be personal, bodily, visible, pre-millennial, and redemptive.
it is the source of encouragement and consolation, the motive for purification and holiness, and the inspiration for activity and service.
Christ will first descend into the clouds, where His church, the waiting bride, will be caught up to meet Him.
After the tribulation judgments, which will be poured out upon the earth, He will return with His church to judge the nations and to establish His kingdom wherein He will rule upon the earth for a thousand years (Daniel 7:13-14; Matthew 24:21; Mark 13:34-37; Luke 1:32-33, 21:34-36; John 14:1-3; Acts 1:11; Romans 8:16-19, 23-24; 1 Thessalonians 3:12-13, 4:16-18, 5:11; 2 Thessalonians 1:3-10; 1 Timothy 6:12-14; Titus 2:12-13; James 5:7-8; 1 John 2:28, 3:3; Jude 14; Revelation 3:10, 5:9-10, 19:7-8, 14, 20:4-6).
THE MILLENNIUM
- We believe:
the millennium, or thousand year reign of Christ upon the earth, will be ushered in by His return with the saints.
during this period Satan will be bound, the curse will be lifted (such evils as war, poverty, and injustice shall vanish from the earth) and Christ will reign in righteousness (Psalms 46:8-9; 72:8, 10-11, 17; Isaiah 2:1-4, 11:6-9; Revelation 20:1-6).
JUDGMENTS
- We believe:
the believer was judged as a sinner at the cross of Christ and is passed out of death into life.
as a child in the family of God, he is being judged and chastened during his lifetime and as a servant his works will be judged for rewards at the judgment seat of Christ during the time the 7 year tribulation takes place on earth after the rapture of the church.
At the time of Christ’s return with the saints, at the end of the 7 year tribulation, He will set up His kingdom and the 1,000 year reign of Christ on earth will begin
at the end of the 1,000 years, those who refused to accept Christ as savior will appear before God for judgment at the great white throne, and the wicked will be cast eternally into the lake of fire together with Satan and his angels (Psalms 96:13; Ecclesiastes12:14; Daniel 7:10; Joel 3:1-2; Zechariah 14:1-3; Matthew 25:31-46; John 5:24; Romans 6:8, 7:4, 14:10; 1 Corinthians 3:8-15, 4:2-5, 11:32; 2 Corinthians 5:10; 2 Timothy 4:8; Hebrews 9:27, 12:5-8; 1 Peter 4:7; Revelation 20:10-15).
THE ETERNAL STATE
- We believe:
there are two eternal destinies for men, heaven and hell, the one for the righteous and penitent and the other for the unrighteous and impenitent.
after the great white throne judgment, and after all enemies of God are consigned to their place of eternal punishment, the present order of things will be dissolved and the new heaven and the new earth where indwelleth righteousness shall be created as the final state in which the righteous shall dwell forever (Psalms 9:17; Isaiah 65:17, 66:22; 2 Peter 3:13; Revelation 21:7, 22:7).
